Gentle Giant / Three Friends (1972)

United Kingdom

Progressive Rock, Art Rock, Rock

This is absurdly impressive sonically, extremely unique I can't even imagine anything close being done by any band other than Gentle Giant. I also like the themes that are more critical to modernity, work, capitalism, I think it's all very good.

The Gentle Giant must have been an avalanche of distinct ideas at this time, which helped, but possibly also made it harder for the group to hit a "constant." Three Friends is excellent, but not among my favorites. It sounds like a great experiment with some great results
