Bachman-Turner Overdrive / Street Action (1978)

Canada

Hard Rock, Boogie Rock, Rock, AOR

The band named B.T.O. on this album. used abbreviated. Maybe they did it because the album was bad. I'm kidding of course. But it's really not a very good album. It doesn't have much of a feature except that it has a better cover than the cover of the previous album.

Wishbone Ash / No Smoke Without Fire (1978)

United Kingdom

Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Rock, Blues Rock, AOR

After the disastrous album Front Page News that they released in 1977, they must have come to their senses that they recorded this album with a harder style. But the era has started to change and Punk is on the scene now. In this case, they did not stand out much. The songs are much better than the previous album. But not enough.

Novalis / Vielleicht bist du ein Clown? (1978)

Germany

Progressive Rock, Symphonic Prog, Art Rock

It's the album where Novalis' music literally shifts in a different direction. It has similarities with the transition stage album Brandung. It has a different feel compared to the first albums. A different and interesting Novalis album, albeit not as good as them.

Gentle Giant / Giant For A Day (1978)

United Kingdom

Progressive Rock, Art Rock, Rock

Giant for a Day is the eleventh studio album by the British band Gentle Giant, released on September 11, 1978. This album shows a turning point in the band's history as it makes a shift towards pop/rock by turning away from progressive rock. Rather ignored by fans, it didn't even make the top 200 in the United States. For the first time in their career, the group did not give any concert to promote the album, preferring to wait for the next and last, Civilian, to organize a farewell tour and then they went their separate ways.
